This Throwback Ye x Louis Vuitton Sample Looks Familiar Reminiscent of the Nike Air Yeezy 1, a picture of the pair was just revealed by Don C. As Ye debuted his work with Nike in 2009 — introducing the world to the Air Yeezy 1 — he also connected with Louis Vuitton for an expansive shoe collection. The unprecedented project introduced several new silhouettes, including the Don, Mr. Hudson and Jasper. Now, Don C has taken to Instagram to reveal another design from the collaboration that never made it onto shelves. A brief preview of the unreleased sample sees a leather high-top sport a midfoot strap, prominent “LV” branding at the lateral and a collar that curves upwards and away from the heel. The resulting silhouette is reminiscent of the Air Yeezy 1 as they both share the midfoot strap and collar shape, however, it’s unknown as to which was created first. In addition to the high-top, a low-top version of the shoe can be spotted in the background of the image as well. This pair is unlikely to ever exist outside of its few samples as it’s been 15 years since the last Ye x Louis Vuitton sneaker released, and the two are unlikely to collaborate again anytime soon. That being said, the industry has continued to revisit classics and with Pharrell at Louis Vuitton, there’s no telling what might come next.

New Balance 1906R Surfaces in a Clean "Sea Salt/Grey" Iteration Arriving in the coming months. Becoming one of the more popular New Balance silhouettes, the 1906R arrives in a clean “Sea Salt/Grey” colorway for the summer. While Action Bronson has dominated the silhouette as of late, the latest colorway sees the shoe take on a softer and tonal color scheme that sees the shoe constructed out of a mixture of mesh and suede overlays to give it that luxe appeal. “Sea Salt” leather hits the forefoot panels giving it a monotone like aesthetic that hits all over the shoe from the lining to the TPU heel to the midsole, which features bits of grey accents. The shoe is expected to release later this year.

The sartorial imagery sees Flacko sporting the Rih-led label’s signature boxers, briefs and tees in a series of orange-lit shots against a still backdrop. In one photo, the mega rapper carries RZA, who wears the brand’s child-sized items, on his shoulders; and in another, Rocky faces away from the camera while holding his son, revealing that the word “DAD” is etched into the back of his head.
